Inktober: potions and bottles

This is a really fast sketch I did on the train today. :) I actually found a good paper for ink sketching in the form of a mini sketchbook from a set I had received two years ago (?) for Christmas. (Yeah, I said I didn't want to use a sketchbook, but... I don't have any other special ink paper.) The format is 10x14 cm, roughly postcard size. And wow, that fude nib is expressive! XD This is the first time I tried drawing with it and I'm still not sure if I love it or hate it. It's definitely not my usual style... LOL

Date: 2018-10-02 11:41 am (UTC)This year, in addition to other inking techniques, I'm hoping to work on practicing with an ink pen, especially to draw textures that seem like they would be difficult to capture - like smoke, bubbles, water, and other transparent surfaces.
