Advent Calendar begins! :)
Nov. 28th, 2021 09:20 pmIt's Advent Calendar time again! :D
Actually, this was supposed to be a "small" advent calendar, but the dear Sam_Linnifer must have misunderstood the concept... It's not a small calendar. It's more like, "Advent Calendar: next level of escalation". LOL

Look at this wonderful, wonderful package... Notice the pawns on the tag! With a chess-themed package, I already knew this was going to be awesome! It's basically announcing: "this is custom-made for teh Eller"! And I was right!
Technically, I was allowed to open three little parcels:

one clearly labeled for today, and two other ones from a huge pile of packages (in pretty marble paper, too! YAY! I like carbonates! LOL) without labels, but the instruction to just pick one every day. The small cube contained candy today, so I assume that's where my surplus calories this month will come from. XD

The unlabeled package contained scrapbooking paper... A lot of it! O_O Like, that's more than I use in a year! XDD The pads have very pretty designs, too. The "vintage" one will likely be shared with my dad, who likes vintage stuff.
And here's one for my love of flowers:

Fritillaria meleagris! The chess board flower! :D :D :D What a COOL idea! I absolutely love this - and I already looked up instructions. I'll plant them next week, as soon as I have the correct substrate. I'll keep you updated, whether you want to or not!!!11 (That was a threat. LOL) Seriously, how cool is this? :D

These are... diamond-shaped paperclips (I'll use them in the office, that will be very appropriate, AHAHAHA), glittery leaves (VERY useful, I already have a crafting project in mind where I'll need them! I didn't have anything like these yet, so they're a really nice surprise!), a flowery clear stamp set (very thoughtful: I love stamps and I love flowers, so they're an excellent addition to my collection), and... lemon candy? from the little cube. Haven't tried them yet, but they look great!
And as if that were not enough...
MORE THINGS! O_O

That's, uh...
- stamping pads in light green and blueish purple. (YAY! I was kind of wishing for colored stamping pads, so these are perfect!)
- water-fillable brushes (Also: yay! I had some of these already, of course, but some of mine are old enough to be replaced, so it's good to have these in reserve!)
- black tea "Lemon Grey", which is essentially an Earl Grey with some extra lemon and grapefruit added. Sounds good, will be tested tomorrow at breakfast.
- waffles with ginger flavor. Perfect!
- funny clips for the office that were promptly confiscated by my mom who loved the idea of having a planning item saying "NEVER". (Yes, she shares my sense of humor.)
- A "guest gift" from Wendolin: an ATC with... a BEGONIA! I love it!!! I mean, I'm kind of mathematically obsessed with begonia leaves, and apparently, that's memorable enough... LOL Also, not really visible, but it's kind of 3D, the background is really behind the leaves. The effect is awesome - my parents say hi, they're also very impressed by the skill that went into making this!
- Last but not least: SQUIRREL SOCKS!!! That is, socks with squirrels painted on!!! Aren't they cute? You probably all know by now how much I LOVE squirrels!
And of course here's a detail picture of the squirrels, because you simply have to see them up close:

Not visible on the photo, but the squirrels kind of glitter coppery... Very nice effect. Also, the advent calendar maker tells me the paint is heat-fixed and the socks should be washable at 30°C. Good to hear. I'd hate for them to be damaged!
WHEEEE! I'm super happy! THANK YOU!!!!!
