Inktober day 4 Map of Silver Shores

Okay, so this should probably be called "Silver Map of Shores" or something, but I didn't know what else to do with the prompt. (I know it's technically my own prompt list but I used rune castings and random associations to generate this, so the prompts were a surprise for me as well.) Was not feeling very creative - I actually drew most of this last night (after midnight, LOL) and finished this morning. The hand is specially for aliax_alexandre. XD

Oh, this is so beautiful! You make me think I should experiment more with white ink...I keep forgetting it can be used for things that are not corrections!

Thank you! :D I rarely use white ink (or any ink at all that's not in fountain pens...) because it's difficult (and dangerous ^^) to use on the train, but it's fun to paint with it.

Oh, well, look at that! That's exactly what I had in mind when I saw the prompt :D It's not what I went with, and I'm glad of it, because it wouldn't have looked anywhere as pretty as this :P

That's a great use of white ink, and I'm amazed how you managed to make it look so three-dimensional: I can see its thickness so clearly O.o !

Love the details of the feather, and the nib, too.

As for the hand: woah, great job! I was going to complaint that you betrayed us lefties, until I realised that you probably used your own hand as reference :P ?

Yes, I used my own hand as reference - and of course, I needed the left one for drawing. XD It must have been a funny sight, me sitting there with pens in both hands.

Well, as long as you're not just actually sitting there doing nothing at all, I think most people will guess at what you're doing :D It's not like artists are not known for doing weird things sometimes when they need a reference in a jiffy :P
