CHESS RUNES YAY!!!

ellerSo, yhlee made me this super cool set of chess runes (THANK YOU!!!) that I absolutely have to show off! :D
It's a very beautiful design, with black and white wooden rune chips with brushed-on gold effects on the back!
The front of the rune chips has symbols for all the black and white pieces as well as symbols for chess concepts like "good move", "bad move", "captures", "check", and - of course - "checkmate" (which, I suppose, would be either a very bad or an excellent omen, depending on the context) and so on.
A divination system based on this is actually surprisingly feasible; at the very least, it would be very easy to use this for predictions about whether something is a good idea or not. It also has the required ominous death symbol that's basically mandatory in this kind of thing. ;) This is excellent!
I absolutely love this set because the whole concept is just such a great idea! I will have to play with these "runes" a bit to figure out what type of symbolism could be assigned to them in order to create a plausible (in the sense of: internally consistent) magic system. This is FUN! :D
