I really like the whole concept of Inktober and this year I'm really, really, going to participate! Making an ink drawing every day of October is an awesome exercise, and having a prompt list to inspire these drawings might be a good idea to push myself out of my comfort zone (which encompasses, let's face it, botanicals and nothing but). So I always wanted to do this - and always failed. Last year, I even dramatically lost (!) the sketchbook I had specifically bought for Inktober. (Yeah, this is kind of typical...)

However, this year, I didn't like the "official" list much, so instead, I'll use the prompt list of [community profile] drawesome which looks like a nice art community. I'm looking forward to drawing something every day and hopefully also see what the other group members do! (Last year, I had a lot of fun simply watching what other people did during Inktober. I was just too frustrated to continue myself after losing that sketchbook.)

So this is the prompt list I'll follow:

This year, I'll definitely use loose sheets, though! Not sure yet which paper is best and which of my fountain pens I'll use... Last year I wanted to use that Chinese fountain pen with something I believe is called "fude nib", basically a nib that is bent so you can get very broad as well as very fine strokes. Now I just have to find that thing again. (It's probably in one of the drawers at work. I hope. It's not in my desk at home...) And probably clean it in an ultrasonic bath to remove last year's dried ink. Oh well.
