Look what I received from
yhlee! He made a mysterious box for me! :D I mean... That's some impressive craft right there. Everything fits perfectly and is nicely decorated with flowery chiyogami paper... SO PRETTY!!!

...and if you want to see more - like the inside of this box, more pictures are behind the cut.

TA-DAAA! It's a watercolor box with two rows! :D That is, okay, I guess it was supposed to be only one row of watercolors, and the second one (as indicated by the paintbrush; thank you for that as well!) for stuff like brushes and pencils, but, uh, my pencil bag (which someone else sewed for me) is carefully curated and not in need of reorganization, soooo... Turns out that, miraculously, the second row is exactly the size of White Nights watercolor pans. They're a nonstandard size that will fit almost nowhere else. Surprisingly, they are a perfect fit in this box, and I'm taking full advantage of the fact.
Of course, I already filled the box:

I managed to fit 11 of the White Nights paints in the second row, and chose the 13 pans above from various brands in order to get a balanced palette for botanical painting... Which I'm going to post about later, as that's going to take some nerdery and quite a bit of typing.
Meanwhile... SO PRETTY!!! Iove this box, and painting with it is going to be sooo much fun!
Thank you SOOOOO much!

Date: 2024-05-08 03:32 am (UTC)Yeah, the danger with making boxes (etc.) for someone else is not knowing exactly how they prefer to carry their tools! I actually have never owned or been in the same room as White Nights paints so the fact that they fit in that second row is completely lucky coincidence. XD XD

Date: 2024-05-08 07:53 am (UTC)If not for the paints, I would indeed have packed more paintbrushes (there are never enough of those), and extra white gel pen and/or acrylic pen... But I think it's even more fun like this. MORE COLORS!!! XDD
