This one, I drew on the train. Not very inspired, a bit wobbly, but whatever. :) All that white ink was a bit too much for the thin paper, so it's also appropriately wavy and everything.
In other words: I love iiiiiiit! I can almost feel the steam against my skin *_* And I swear I know exactly what the texture of that tablecloth is like, it's so well rendered. (And the tea pot is a classic, I know, but I love that shape to bits ♥ )
Heh, yeah, it's basically THE teapot shape - the first that came into my mind when I decided I wanted to draw one in the background. I don't even own a teapot like this but I guess it's the... teapot archetype?!?
Well, I have A Thing for archetypes, so that makes sense :D I love the fullness and roundness of the body, especially contrasted with the delicacy and elegance of the handle. Hmm, nice!
I just used the white ink as sort-of-watercolor and applied it with a water-filled travel brush. Some areas are also smudged with my fingers, which is primitive but effective...
The classical commuter problem: I spend a lot of time on various trains and I need something to pass the time. So, uh, by now I have a lot of experience with drawing while the world is wobbling and shaking. XD
