Selfmade Watercolor: Blood Red

I did it again... After my last ill-advised watercolor experiment I decided to try color-making again.

This time, I was aiming for a transparent dark red with granulation effect. It even kind of worked... :D

Your approach to paint production is like my approach to making mocktails. I just pour in random quantities of fruit juice and Sprite and Grenadine syrup and hope for the best. XD

I did it the mad scientist way
THE BEST WAY! Or the most fun one, at least.

*______* This is the most beautiful red I have ever seen. I must see if I can mix a similar hue from my paints the next time I need to paint a red!

If it's decadent, then we should all be decadent. :) I can think of a couple fountain pen inks that look like this (Diamine Burgundy Royale and Montblanc Alfred Hitchcock, not coincidentally also my FAVORITE fountain pen ink reds) but not an on-the-market watercolor red either. XD
