Grey Heron



I don't usually draw animals, but my ATC swap partner wished for one, so. :)

I used my selfmade watercolors, especially Swamp, in combination with some store-bought ones.

Oh, that's gorgeous!

I haven't seen a heron in years - I saw a great blue heron (? according to Joe, whose mom is a birder) at Cornell once. Incredible wingspan.

Grey herons are quite common around here. Also, they're the bane of fish ponds. XD
